AW17 Beauty Trend Report: Part 2
Wylde Beauty Director, Terry Barber, breaks down the season's hottest beauty trends
For a while now, beauty has been exploring the idea of “no make up” as a genuine style choice; a little bit of urban coolness to balance fashion based on strong colour and elaborate detail. AW17 feels more like a compromise, in that the bareness comes with a new sense of luxuriousness. It's where product technology genuinely meets the needs of real women; minimal skin coverage with high polish, colour tints and stains which imitate healthy skin and low level highlighters which create a dewiness which speaks of hyper-conditioning. Bareness no longer has to look rough, it can look finely tuned. It’s the perfect balance of hi-tech product meeting low-tech finish.
