Alexander McQueen Play Set to Open in London

The Alexander McQueen retrospectives are not ending anytime soon. With the late designer’s Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition opening (and breaking all attendance records) last week at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, there is now a play in the pipeline as well. Opening on May 12, McQueen is a play written by James Phillips and directed by John Caird, documenting the creative’s life and struggles. On the playbill will be Glee’s Dianna Agron as a fictional character, Stephen Wright as McQueen and Tracy Ann-Oberman as Isabella Blow. The play will show at London’s St. James Theatre, and is touted to “be more than a bio-play,” and will document “a journey into the visionary imagination and dark dream world of Alexander McQueen.”
