Launching in October 2020, and two years in the making, cult perfume house (and Wylde favourite) Byredo unveils its new beauty line conceived by Ben Gorham and Isamaya Ffrench. Byredo’s game-changing approach to the world of fragrance is reflected in its iconoclastic and instinctive approach to beauty. Here, gender and identity boundaries are once more ignored from the beginning with products presented that are distinctly idiosyncratic and very much part of the Byredo world-view. Working closely and collaboratively, Ben Gorham and Isamaya Ffrench have evolved an almost ‘open source’ approach to beauty, putting the instincts and subjectivity of the wearer firmly at the centre of this new open beauty system. Here, multi-purpose products such as the Colour Stick, ask the wearer to choose the way it will be worn, whether on eyes, lips or cheeks, and reflect the idea of subjective beauty at the heart of the brand.
