When US skincare guru Karen Ballou was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma eight years ago, she discovered that her existing go-to skincare products weren't delivering the results – both physically and mentally – that she wanted. In her fragile state, Ballou needed the products not only to work… but also benefit her health. With this in mind, her road to recovery included the daunting step of launching her own skincare brand Immunocologie, to give both men and women an effective, natural and luxurious skincare treatment. The hero ingredient in many of the products is French green clay; an ancient substance derived from volcanic deposits in SE France that cleanses and detoxifies the skin. We are loving this thoughtful, determinedly nature-driven brand that eschews ostentatious packaging to just get on with delivering skincare that actually works.
